LADY WORTHINGTON began slowly, but came with a rush through the stretch and overhauled BOOKER RILL in the last sixteenth. ROOKER RILL ran a good race and finished gamely, but was disqualified for interfering with QUEEN APPLE in the stretch. QUEEN APPLE closed a gap into the lead and might have won but for the interference. HARWOOD raced fairly well. LADY POWERS tired badly in the stretch after racing into the lead on the baekstretch. MAY W. began slowly and closed a good gap in the stretch. HOT TODDY was forced back at the start and moved up gamely, but tired in the stretch. JACK WIGGINS acted fractiously and was much used at the post, then tired after setting the early pace. The winner was entered for ,700; no bid. LEO SKOLNY was far back for the first half and came fast in the stretch. CONVERSE and CHALMERS tired badly.
