Cincinnati. O.. June 23. — Improved weather and track conditions ami a good card served to attract a record-breaking mid-week crowd to l.atonia today. The betting was of immense volume. Pif Jr. accounted for the Laughroy Club Handicap of one mile and a quarter, which featured this afternoons card, iu sensational style, getting up in the final stride to overhaul Fels. Incidentally a new track record of 2:05.-. for the distance was made. The superior riding skill of jockey Roscoo loose was the determining factor in the result, for. with a bit stronger riding. Kols at MM finish would have Ix-on the victor.
