LOOKS LIKE BUSINESS IN LOUISIANA. Baton Rouge. La.. June 23. — By I vote of four to two, the House Judiciary Committee yesterday reported favorably 011 the Schatr-Ashforil racing bill, providing for the establishment of the pari-mutiiel system of wagering on races. Charles F. Labnrre. Edward Kightor. Edward Si-haft" and Nat W. Bond spoke for the bill. Mr. Rightor said the bill was to correct existing conditions, that a system of individual lM-tting had lieen found that was ad-, aUaaahfa under the Locke law a"nd that the bill for a racing commission would place the governor in supreme charge and make some one responsible.
