SARATOGAS SPLENDID OUTLOOK. New York, July 3. Fred Rehberger, assistant racing secretary at Saratoga, has made every provision for all the best horses to meet during the month of August. An inspection of tho entries for the three-vear-old races s1ioa-s that every good horse of that age is engaged in the Travers, one mile and a quarter, and in the Saratoga Cup, for three-year-olds and upward, one mile and three-quarters. "If these two races do not sift out the champions in tho three-year-old class," said Mr. Rehberger, "then Ave Avill trj to arrange a special race Avhich must have three or more starters. I believe the Travers will decide the question, unless sickness keeps some of the horses from going to the post. Saratoga is the track where such contests should be decided. It is there that the best horses from every quarter congregate, and all are well prepared at that time. I should much like to see George Smith, Star HaAvk. Friar Rock and Chicle in a race at even weights, and it it can be brought about I feel certain the association would add an appropriate purse and a piece of plate."
