NEW WINDSOR TRACK TAKING SHAPE. W. R. Norvell. who is to fill the position of racing secretary at Kenilworth Park, the new mile track which A. M. Orpen, Thomas Hare and other Toroutonians are building at Windsor, is in Huffalo to spend a few days, after having put in several weeks at the new plant, which is rapidly assuming shape. He is enthusiastic over its possibilities and says that everything about it is being constructed on a liberal and substantial basis. It will be in complete, readiness at least two weeks before the initial meeting, which is scheduled to .open August 30. The framework of the grandstand, which was removed there from Kenilworth Park in Huffalo, is practically up and much of the construction work on tin; buildings has been completed. The track itself is now ready for rolling. Transportation facilities to the new course will be unsurpassed anywhere. The Michigan Central railroad will land patrons from Detroit within a few feet of the grandstand entrance and there will be trolley service in addition. The new club means to pursue a policy designed to attract the better grade of horses. The minimum purse value will be 00 and there will be a liberal sprinkling of 1916.sh00, .5700 and 00 purses. No attempt will be made this year to open any stakes.
