Won driving; second and thin! the siine. RAE B., after racing in near pursuit of the leader, drew clear in the homestretch, but was tiring in the closing strides. WENONAII led under slight restraint in the early running and, after being passed at the eighth post, came again under punishment and almost got up. JESSE JR., raced under hard pressure from the start and was forced wide for the entire way. GOLDEN GATE ran well. ROSE-WATER began slowly and closed a big gap. RIVERDALE took the lead at once and set a fast pace, but could not withstand the winners challenge. BASIL saved ground on all turns and finished gamely. YELLOWSTONE had no mishaps and ran below his previous form. SEA WAVE began on the outside and had no chance. The latter was saved under restraint in the early running, then gained steadily and finished wearing the leader down. BROOKS raced on the outside of the leaders throughout and finished resolutely under punishment. Ting-a-Ling saved ground on the turns and ran a good race. GLOAMING, away slowlv, closed a big gap while rounding the last turn, but tired finally. RROOMVALE ran well. The winner was entered for ,00!; no bid. HARRY SHAW was in tight quarters in the final sixteenth and closed up rapidly when clear, but tired in the linil strides. HOLIDAY showed the most speed from the start and, after tiring, was taken up at the end. BAC had no mishaps. TOP HAT ran an excellent race. RONKISS raced into the lead on the backstretch anil held the others safe, but tired finally and was driving hard at the finish. PINCH, raced next to the rail for the entire way and was gaining in the closing strides. DORCAS quit at the end of three-quarters.
