WENONAII led under slight restraint in the early running and, after being passed at the eighth post, came again under punishment and almost got up. JESSE JR., raced under hard pressure from the start and was forced wide for the entire way. GOLDEN GATE ran well. ROSE-WATER began slowly and closed a big gap. YELLOWSTONE had no mishaps and ran below his previous form. SEA WAVE began on the outside and had no chance. BROOKS raced on the outside of the leaders throughout and finished resolutely under punishment. Ting-a-Ling saved ground on the turns and ran a good race. GLOAMING, away slowlv, closed a big gap while rounding the last turn, but tired finally. RROOMVALE ran well. The winner was entered for ,00!; no bid. HOLIDAY showed the most speed from the start and, after tiring, was taken up at the end. BAC had no mishaps. TOP HAT ran an excellent race. PINCH, raced next to the rail for the entire way and was gaining in the closing strides. DORCAS quit at the end of three-quarters.
