THOUGHTFUL drew into a long lead on the far turn and set a fast pace, but was ridden out to outstay LANGDEN. The latter finished in resolute fashion and wearing the leader down. INDIAN ARROW fenced well and, easily passing JOE GAIETY in the last half, drew away into a long lead and. won in a canter. JOE GAIETY fenced well and showed the most early speed, but tired finallv. JIM O. was cut off twice by the riderless IDLE MICHAEL. The latter fell at the ninth fence. FRIJOLEE at the fifteenth and JACK WINSTON pulled up lame. The winner was entered for ,000; no bid. The latter was a forward contender all tlie way and made a resolute finish. 11IM1TEI ran well. VILEY quit after setting a fast early pace. The winner was entered for ,400; no bid. BLACK ItHOOM responded gamely to punishment, in the stretch and, wearing FOUNTAIN FAY down, got up to win in the closing strides. FOUNTAIN FAY raced into the lead in the homestretch, but tired anil tried to savage the winner in the last sixteenth. CHRISTIE closed a big gap from a slow start and finished fast.
