LEXINGTONS FAIR TO HAVE RACING. Lexington. Kv., July 27. Running races will again be a big feature of the Blue Grass Fair hero during the week of August 7 to 12 inclusive. Following a meeting of the executive committee today, it was announced by Racing Secretary James 1. Ross that three or more races will be given each dav for purses ranging from 50 to 50. The judges will be Messrs. F. R. Wilson and W. II. Shelley and Harry Morrissey will do the starting, whiles. K. Hughes will be timer. T. A. Gibson, a Detroit contractor, who has re-cuierated his health by training and racing a small string of horses, will make an effort lo revive racing in Michigan through the formation of a Detroit Rusiness Mens Racing Association, fo have a capital of 50,000 and to erect an up-to-date plant near Detroit.
