CURRENT NOTES OF THE TURF. J. A. Kersey has purchased the throe-year-old gelding After Night from John Hurley. True as Steel, claimed out of his last race by S. J. Daiocchi, is back again in the P. S. P. Randolph stable. Announcements of stakes are out for the autumn meeting of the 3Iaryland Jockey Club Pimlico. The added money allotments to these events are liberal, and the fact that no purse will be less than 00 is prominently featured. 3Ir. Dellinter, an American sportsman, who purchased some time ago the promising and young Irish steeplechaser. The Same Agin, has left the horse in charge of J. J. 31aher at Clonsilla for the present. Later on he will be sent to his new owners place in the United States. London Sportsman. Gilford A. Cochrans three-year-old Air 3Ian was kicked while at the post during the Aqueduct meeting and, although trainer W. R. 3Iidgley did not regard the; injury as serious at the time, it afterward developed into something like local blood poisoning or injury to the bone. Tho famous white and green, racing colors of Christy Sullivan, will be seen soon on the Now York tracks again, for tho former senator, who represented the Rowcry district at Albany for a score of years, has bought Nephthys, the four-year-old filly by Isidor 3Iaiest, from Roxey Angaroki. 3Ir. Sullivans colors were made famous before the repeal of the Percy-Gray law by tho. numerous victories of Rye. The former senator says it is his intention to buy several more horses and resume racing on u large scale.
