BLACK FROST gradually improved her position and, finishing fast and gamely, got up to win in the closing strides. RUSSELL SQUARE was a forward contender all the way. but tired after taking the lead. J. C. STONE closed a big gap. SAFETY FIRST ran well. REP-TON tired. BILLY McGEE set the early pace, but quit. S1MLAII was jumped on and cut down. WILD HORSE stumbled and fell on the far turn. RAY O LIGHT raced forward ly in the middle of the track from the. start and, finishing fast, got up in the final drive to win in the last stride ZODIAO was outrun to the stretch turn and swerved to tin: inside rail in the last sixteenth, but finished with a rush and almost got up. ERIN ran a good race iind finished gamely. SCORPII finished fast. QUIEN SABE set the pace to the last eighth and tired. The winner was entered for 00; no bid. HARBARI was hard ridden in an effort to get to the leader on the far turn and tired, but finished gamely. BROOMSEDC.E was sore when going to the post. KING HAMBURG quit, badly.
