KING BAOGOT began fast and raced into a long lead while rounding the last turn and tired in the final eighth, but won by a safe margin. CHIEFTAIN was shutilcd back en the backstreteh, but gradually improved his position and finished fast when clear. 1DOLITA had a rough race and was forced extremely wide throughout, but finished with a rush. BINGEN quit badly. BONNIE LASSIE was in close quarters in tins final eighth. The winner, entered for 00, was bid up to ,000 and sold to It. F. Carman. Scratched 28202 Sky, 110; 28323 Tootsic. 107. BRENTWOOD gained steadily, saved ground in the final half and outstayed PEBETO in the closing strides. PEBETO moved up rapidly at the sixteenth jump and was forced wide on the lust turn, but hung 011 gamely and just failed to win. IIIBLEIt fenced well, but tired slightly under punishment at the end. TOM McTAGGART slipped through next to the rail when entering the homestretch and responded gamely to punishment in the final drive. PENNANT set the pace and was under a pull in the early running, but tired when called on for a final effort. AERMONT steadily improved his position and was going fast at the finish. JULIA L. dropped back on the far turn, but closed up again under punishment. AVon easily; second and third driving. KILLANNA raced into the lead on the last turn at her riders leisure and easily held sway for the remainder of the race. SAM SLICK raced into the lead on the backstreteh and, after being passed, made a game effort under punishment, but could never get to the leader. JULIET raced well and held the others safe in the homestretch. STAR GAZE ran poorly. The winner, entered for ,000, was bid up to ,900 and sold to J. M. Henry, Jr. i Overweights Peacock, 1 pound.
