MOUNT ROYAL RACING WELL PATRONIZED. Montreal, Que.. August 21. The offering of the Back River Jockey Club attracted another good crowd to Mount Royal this afternoon. The -feature was the running of a handicap which was won by Thesieres The favorite Lily Orme ran a sluggish race. She was off well and dropped out of the running. Charles Smith was a visitor at the course this afternoon. John R. Rice, who is interested in the new course at La prairie, was also a visitor. The new course will be ready for opening on Monday. August 2S. The officials will be announced on Thursday. Sheridan Clark, who is to bo racing secretary at Ottawa, left today for the capital to assume his duties. He will return to Montreal after the Ottawa meeting, to take up the duties of racing secretary at Dorval Iark.
