DONE AT BLUE BONNETS FOR THIS YEAR. Ask Ma Victress in the Derby Cup Robert Bradley Wins the Champlain Stakes in Fast Time. Montreal. Que.. September 11. The closing day of the final meeting of the .Montreal Jockey Club for the racing season of 1015 attracted a large gathering to the Itluc Bonnets course. A splendid pro-grom was offered for the occasion, the feature races being the Champlain Selling Stakes at one mile, the Derby Cup at one mile and three-quarters, a steeplechase over the two miles course and a handicap for two-year-olds in seven-eighths. J. K. L. Rosss Ask Ma accounted for the Derby Cup, coming from behind in the stretch and easily passing Fountain Fay. W. It. Mizells Robert Bradley made a runaway affair of the Champlain Stakes. He ran the mile in 1:3S and won with speed in reserve. The steeplechase went to Collector in a driving finish witli llandrunning and Chas. F. Grainger. The favorite Chester Krum lost his rider at the sixth fence, where he was close to the leader and going fast. Wnnkeag showed that he could go a long route by coming from behind in his race and easily passing Dine Fox in the seven-eighths handicap. Among todays visitors were former jockey T. Meade, who is here with the Blanche Iting Company that is playing at one of the local theaters, and John Daly, who rode Claude in all of his races. Young Daly is now traveling for the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company, out of Montreal, ami is prospering in that business. Former jockey AV. Martin lias been appointed official timer at Kempton Park. Herman P. Conkling, who will act as presiding judge at Dorval Park, was an arrival this morning. Mr. Conkling will also act as a member of the license committee at the Fair Grounds track in New Orleans next winter. His associates will be Joseph A. Murphy and J. I!. Campbell. Several stables arrived from Windsor this morning, among them the big string owned by Francis J. Pons. Three carloads of horses left for Havre de Grace tonight and included in the consignment were the horses owned by Matt Smart and Sam Louis. Starter Dade gave jockey McDcrmott permission to ride Prohibition in the Champlain Selling Stakes. Jockey T. Rice was suspended for the remainder of the meeting by starter Dade for disobedience at the post in the first race on Saturday. J. W. Henley, who has charge of the division of the stable that William Garth is racing in Canada, has arranged to ship his big string to Woodbine Park at Toronto on Friday. Mr.- Healey has been highly successful with the Garth horses this year. .Mrs. T. Trovato claimed Monoca-y after hq was beaten on Saturday. She lost the horse by a claim the day before when C. K. Richards took him. Mrs. Trovato contemplates securing about six more horses for winter campaigning in Culm. Sam Louis was robbed of jewelry valued at ,500 and ,500 in cash on Saturday last. The robbery occurred in the Hat where Louis was living. Before Louis reached home his wife had been gagged and roped to a chair in one of the rear rooms of his flat. When Louis stepped into the flat he was met by a couple of masked men who held him up and took all the cash he possessed. Up to date no arrests have been made.
