LAST PUBLIC SALE OF YEARLINGS OF 1916. The next and last sale of thoroughbred yearlings for the year will be held in the paddock at Latonia race track on Tuesday, October 24. The catalogue for this sale, which will be conducted by The Kentucky Sales Co., lias just come from the press and numbers fifty -one head of yearlings, as well as sew era! horses in training. They represent the get of nearly every prominent sire in the country and many of them are from dams that were not only good races mares, but have proved successful producers. The yearling crop for 1910 has been short, which would indicate that two-year-olds in 1917 will be scarce and, as a consequence, It will be an inferior youngster that will not be able to win. This should induce every racing man to enter the field for a yearling at this time and this sale affords the last opportunity. A complete catalogue of the sale will le mailed to any address upon application to The Kentucky Sales Co. at Lexington, Ky., and racing men will also find that they can secure a horse or two for the winter tracks in this sale.
