JIM WAKELY, after being saved under restraint for the first half, drew away fast in the stretch and won easing up. J. C. STONE closed a good gap and was going fast at the end. IRON MASTER raced close up all the way and held on well in the final drive. PIERCE W. ran well but tired in the last eighth. ROY closed a great gap. SPRING SONG was away slowly but closed an immense gap and finished fastest of all. CYNTHIA DWYER ran a good race and finished gamely. HELMETS DAUGHTER set a fast pace, but failed to stay. EDDIE DELLING set a fast early pace and tired badly in the stretch. BOLALA showed speed. The winner, entered for 00, was bid up to 09 and sold to J. M. Henry. KINNEY was well ridden and waited with until straightened away in the stretch, then drew away, but had to be shaken up to withstand ARCn PLOTTER. The latter raced close up and finished fast and gamely. SUN GOD was outrun early and forced to race wide, but came fast in the stretch. ARDENT set a fast pace to the stretch and tired. RIFLE SHOOTER was forced back on the first turn when MARGARET X. cut across and ran fairly well. TURCO and WELGA quit after showing early speed. The winner was entered for 00; no bid.
