SPRECKELS HORSES ARRIVE AT TIJUANA. San Diego. Cal.. November 2. W. C. Carroll, with Saugallo and seven yearlings, is the latest arrival at Tijuana. The horses shinned in excellent condition and Carroll is optimistic regarding their future. He has decided to keep, the Spreckels yearling colts and will race them beginning 011 January 1. He will also make a hurried trip to the Napa Stock Farm and select five or six head, which he will break at Tijuana. President James Wood Coffroth let a contract today for the building of three hundred more stalls, which will bring the total up to eleven hundred. From indications at hand, .there will be close to 750 horses here two weeks after the meeting gets under way. Nearly four hundred entries have been received for the six stakes. Seven carloads made up of eighty-four horses are due here on Friday morning, being the horses owned by Nestlehouse, Ilogan, George Fogg, Kane, Gering, Denny, Paul Shilling, Neal, Hyde, Fer-riss, Dickerson, Fuller, Gasser, Hawk and Martin.
