B00GER RED IN TRIUMPH ONCE MORE. New York, November 11. The National Horse Show opened today and one of the first classes to be judged was for pony stallions. The blue ribbon was won by Booger Red, the property of Allen Pinkerton. Booger Red is a thoroughbred, tracing his lineage back through many generations, including Rancocas and Iroquois, the latter the winner of the Epsom Derby in 1881. Booger Ited won many races in his career, though but fourteen hands two and a quarter inches high. He is a great weight carrier and proved champion of the Galloways on Long Island for several years. He was bred in Texas and raced in the colors of II. S. Newman as a young horse. Immediately after being awarded the premium today, Mr. Pinkerton was offered ,500 for Booger Red by an agent of the Japanese government, who wished to purchase him for breeding purposes, to be placed on the farm established a few years a"go by Japan. Mr. Pinkerton refused the offer. Booger Red has won the premium in his class for five consecutive years.
