PERSONAL NOTES FROM NEW YORK. New York, November 13. Joe McCarthy, who was associated with Arnold Rothstein last summer, will winter in this city. Algernon Daingerfield left for Bowie this morning to see that all jockeys and trainers licenses conform with Jockey Club regulations. It is the intention of the Saratoga Association to make the Hopeful Stakes of as much importance as the Futurity from a racing and financial standpoint. W. E. Applegate has not yet decided where he will go next winter, but leans toward Tijuana, and says: "I think that will be the most desirable spot after the holidays.. I know quite a number of people who are going there."
