KYLES DECIDEDLY PECULIAR RECORD. Wins Races After Having- Been in the Stud and Produced Three Daughters. "Lexington, Ky., December 17. William Walkers nine-year-old mare, Kyle, by virtue of a couple of recent victories at good odds at Tijuana, has come into the limelight, but it is not generally known that she lias three daughters, two of which also are race winners and that she was not in retirement all the while she was carrying her foals. Kyles career, therefore, is quite interesting. She is by Kelkerran, a son of Ayrshire, and is from Big Filly, a daughter of Wawekus Landlady, by Longfellow. Kyle was bred by Turncy Brothers at Paris, Ky., and was foaled in 1907. She was raced and mated by William Walker of Toronto, who bought her from Turney Brothers and still owns her. Kyles first daughter was Ethel G. She is by Earl Rogers, a son of Sain. Ethel G. was foaled in 1911, and raced four times in 1913 without being in the money. She is the dam of Dandy Fay. Her second daughter is Miss Fay, by Stanley Fay, a son of Canopus. Miss Fay was foaled in 1013. She started seventeen times last year, won one race, was second in two and third in six anil won 35. To December 1, this year, she had started in fifteen races and had been twice second. Kyles other daughter is Princess Fay. She was foaled in 1914, being also by Stanley Fay. To December 1, she had started fourteen times, won one race and third Vliis record is a testimonial to the hardihood of Kyle et it produces the thought that its unusual-ness is attributable for the greater part to the practice of thoroughbred horse owners, whereby mares intended to bear offspring are not trained for racing after being bred. Doubtless many sound mares could have equalled or overshadowed Kyles record within recent years had their owners so inclined But Kyles record serves to make more pronounced the fact that there is a strong demand for thoroughbred racing mateiial. It must indeed be a poor horse that cannot win a purse at Tijuana or Juarez. .
