Curley Brown, owner of the Havana track, for 9,401. Black Ben, a yearling brown colt by Ben Trovato Dulcinea, owned by Frank J. Kelley, and trained by T. L. Pierce, died of pericarditis at the Kentucky Association track at Lexington Saturday morning. Harvey Boyle, the noted Canadian rider, is at Lexington, Ky., to spend two months at E. R. Bradleys- Idle Hour Farm. E R. Bradley left Saturday night for Chicago to spend the holidays. He will go from there to New Orleans and Palm Beach for the winter. There are now no thoroughbred horses at Elmcn-dorf, Jchn E. Madden having purchased Sweet Lavender and Gracilla. the only two left after the dispersal sale of the Haggin mares last year. Botli are in foal to Ballot. Word has reached New Orleans that trainer Jennings will bring Star Hawk. Boots, Ed Crump and others of the Macomber string from Charleston, to take part in the coming meeting at the Fair Grounds. Their presence would add greatly to the attraction of the racing reunion,
