+ + RECORDS OF FLAT RACING TO DATE MADE OVER THE CANADIAN COURSES 4- -4- Our neighbors across the line in Canada enjoyed an abundance of excellent and prosperous racing in 1911,. but. as was the case in the Iuited States, it was not productive of many changes in the Canadian table of records. The most important feature waa the new mark of 2:02% for a mile and a quarter, made by Boots When he won the Dominion Handicap at Fort Erie on August 5. The only other new record was made by Little String, when he ran a mil. and twenty yards in 1:41% at Kenilworth Bark. September 2. cutting a fifth of a second from the mark previously to the credit of Fastoso. Most of the Canadian records are up to a high standard and compare favorably with those of the United States over similar distances of ground. The complete table of Canadian records is now: Dist.
