MARYLAND BREEDING BUREAUS ACTIVITIES. The stallions Toddington. Bushy Top and Saladin have been placed in Maryland by the Jockey Club, co-operating with the Maryland Breeding Bureau. Toddington is stationed in Harford County with the Harford Hunt Club, and Saladin will stand at the old Warfield farm in Howard County. Other stallions in Maryland placed by the breeding bureau have been old Advance Guard, one of the heroes of the metropolitan turf, which died recently at the farm of the Hon. H. D. Kefauver. Burkitts-ville. Maryland, but before his death had left many foals and his presence will long be beneficially felt in his locality. Racquet, by Ranald — Lady Cushman, is with J. F. Lee. Green Soring Valley. Maryland, and is being used largely as a sire of polo ponies and saddle horses. lie was a beautiful little horse and fast and should do exceptionally well as a sire of this useful pleasure -giving little animal, the polo pony.
