PROMINENT ENGLISH BREEDER IS DEAD. The death is announced in Kngland of Frederick Hardy of Btaaataa Hall, mar S« nrark. He was ., well-known follower of the Belvnir and Karl of Harringtoaa Honada, and a keea preserve- of foxes; i ii 1 !. hi- coverts at Staunton invariably provided the material for a good run with the Duke of Rutlands famous pack. He was an eathasiastic breeder of thoroughbred and Jiuntr stock, and his horses have been seen in races on tin flat, as well aa across country. Mr. Hardy was sacreesfal at the Helvoir limit point-to-point races, lie won I.ad.v HarriagtonM Cap on two occasions and alsu ihc Kufford Hunt »pcu Steeplechase by the aid of Dancing Master, lrince Ybror and Walm William. Mr. Hardy was the breeder of the Kentucky Derby candidate Haider, now at Dimslub Park.
