The Kentucky Derby candidate Baford, with Walter Taylor up. went three quarters in 1:24%; Auriga, an Oaks candidate from the name stable, worked in behind him three quarters :n 1:28, wliih- Kiaaej went five eighths in 1:10. Irtegalar and Tom Jr.. owned by Col. Milton Young, worked three-quarters in 1:2S%, while John Whitlows Sun Maid did the Basse distance in 1:24, Hlaise. l»r. Samuel and Fair Orient galloped five-eighths in 1:11. .James H. Baker sent Miss Minn and Irish Gentlemaa three-eighths in -i:.. ired Croppers Margaret :. worked three-eighths in •r_ . Charles J. Casey wired superintendent James ]. Ross from Hot Springs today that he will bring eight of Grnat Hugh Brownes horses here for the meeting. The remainder of the string will be left at Louisville. E. T. Colton will bring Hinovia. Pan Zareta and Pearl Song from Hot Springs. J. C. Cahn and Louis "aim will bring their strings from Hot Springs. Bob Campliell will be here from Louisville with seven horses belonging to Cat, W. 11. Applegate. Jockey J. Howard arrived this morning from El Paso.
