C. E. BOWES HORSES ARRIVE AT LOUISVILLE. Louisville. Ky., April 9. — Among the more recent arrivals here are the stables of C. E. Rowe and Harry Perkins. ImiIIi if which secured quarters at Douglas lark. Rowe brought Stesty. a three-year-old bay colt by Link and Charity — Miss Blair, which lie recently purchased from Dr. I. E. Clark at Hot Springs. Mr. Rowe stated that the reported purchase price of $."i.000 was erroneous, and that he did not pay such a large price for the colt, which has never faced the barrier in a race. The others he brought were hath two-year-olds, one a bay filly by Rapid Water — Veneta and the other a chestnut colt by Jack Atkin — Sylvia Dunbar. Since coming Iktc ho has taken over from Dick Williams tin- good three-year-old filly Fan G. He intends to strengthen his stable by the addition of several more good two-year-olds.
