MONTREAL-OWNED HORSES DO WELL. 0. Viaus Small Band of Thoroughbreds Now in Training for Early Racing. Montreal. Que., April 13.— A small but select string of thoroughbreds, which have wintered well and are now ready for more strenuous training, are the horses owned by O. Viau. These horses are being trained by Fred Roy. and for the past few weeks have been given regular daily work on the Papiueau road. Included in the band are two promising two-year-olds, one by Earl Rogers and the other by Hassan, which is a young stallion. There are two in the older division by the well-known sire Allowmalse. they being All Amazed and All Steel. The former is foaled by the mare Lady Lcota and has already shown some good trials. Phil T., which vas purchased by Mr. Viau. has been schooled and gives great promise as a steeplechaser. This is a five-year-old and has taken on much weight during the past winter. The horses will be put into active training and raced at the opening meetings in Canada. The following is the list of horses and their breeding: All Amazed, h. g. 4. by Allowmalse— Lady Leota.
