"DIAMOND JIM" BRADY DEAD. Atlantic City. N. J.. April 13.— James Buchanan Brady. New Yorks famous "Diamond Jim." died here today. Not even bis famous "million-dollar stomach" was proof against the illness which racked his frame for the last year. Bradys stomach bad been "made for him" by surgeons at John Hopkins hospital several years ago and until recently had served its purpose perfectly. It was in gratitude for this oi eration that Brady gave large sums to John Hopkins. Brady, a product of the Bowery, bugaa his career as a messenger sag, earning a week. At the time of his death he was New forks biggest railway nupufy man. with a fortune of millions. His penchant for diamond- and modish clothes and his activities in racing aud theatrical circles made him a national figure.
