TRAINING BEGINS AT CONNAUGHT PARK. Ottawa. Out.. April 2ft. The first horses to make their appearance at Conntlught Park this season were those of Messrs. Gorman of Ottawa. They sent five out on the track and have been exercising them regularly. In the Corman string are Ah-cto. a four-year-old; Rivermead. Woodroffe and True Shot, three-year-olds, aad Cobourg Hope. a two-year-old. Rivermead and Woodroffe are Kings Plate eligi-bles. Messrs Jerry and Peter Corman have decided to ship to Woodbine :il out .May 15 and trainer Mike Gorman will, of course, be in charge. Jockey-Patsy Smyth arrived yesterday from Montreal to ride the local horses and Billy Moehan is assisting him. The Connaught Bark Jockey Clubs book of conditions for the spuing meeting, June lti to St, has lieen arranged and will be distributed in a few days. The appointment of a racing secretary to succeed Sheridan Clarke lias been made and will also be announced shortly.
