EIGHT RACES EACH DAY AT THORNCLIFFE. New Track Will Open on Saturday, July 21 Daily Distribution in Purses Raised to ,500. Toronto, Ont., July 7. Joliri S. Berger, general manager of the Thorncllffe Park Racing and Breeding Association, which will, conduct its inaugural meeting at Thorncllffe Park from July 21 to July -8, has announced a change in the program of the meeting. Eight races will be run eacli day instead of seven, and ,500 in purses will be distributed each day in place of ,900 as previously announced. The beautiful Thorncliffe Park course is located on the Robert W. Davies estate and is a little over two miles from the center of the city. The track is u mile affair and the grandstand and ntables are rapidly nearing completion. More than three hundred men .are. .employed in the work. Improved inutuel machines will be installed. Ample transportation facilitles; have been provided.
