CURRENT NOTES OF THE TURF. The Beverwyck Stable, including fourteen thoroughbreds, have been shipped from Belmont Park to Saratoga. A carload of horses left DulTerin Park Friday night for King Edward Park, Montreal, included in which was the stable of. J. W. Pinkham. The outstanding feature of Fridays racing at DulTerin Park was the excellent riding of jockey Ryan, who had to his credit three winners, one second and one third out of five mounts. Jockey M. OConnor, who has been riding through the field for William Gartli this season with a fair measure of success, is reported to be suffering from appendicitis, and it is feared that an operation may be necessary. Fred Taral, former American jockey and for a number of years one of the most successful trainers on the German turf, is, according to advices from Germany, handling some recently purchased horses for the German Crown Prince. Next Tuesday Walter Jennings will ship thirty-two of the Macomber thoroughbreds from Long Island to Saratoga. The two members of the string which now are in Canada, Liberty Loan and the two-year-old Sirocco, will join the others at Saratoga. Graham Rice, for many years well known in turf and financial circles in and about New York and who has been paying but little attention to racing of late, has decided to get together some jumpers and enter in the cross-country sport. Silas Veitch will train his horses. His colors will be silver with copper sleeves and gold cap.
