FAVOUR, after being saved under slight restraint in the early running, slipped through next to the rail when entering the homestretch and easily passed the leader in the linul eighth. JOSEKINA ZARATE set a good puce and drew away at the quarter post, but gave way when challenged. WANDA PITZER was always a forward contender and outstayed OWAtJA in the final drive. The latter quit after going well, for live-eighths. MARGARET Xj. began slowly and her rider lost one of his stirrup irons. HIDDEN STAR sulked when put under pressure. NORTI1WOOD, after racing in close pursuit of the leader, took the lead with a rush in the final half mile, withstood ROBERT OLIVERS challenge and drew away in the last eighth. ROBERT OLIVER, after being under stout restraint for the first turn of the field, closed up gamely at the final fence, but tired when put under punishment. SLIPSHOD had no mishaps and tired in the closing strides. SUN KINO fenced faultlessly and was gaining at the end. FALMOUTH quit badly and was eased up. WAR MACHINE was shullicd back on the turn out of the backstretch, but gradually improved his position and finished fastest of the leaders. LlCULLlTE was under slight restraint in the early running and slipped through next , to the rail, but tired after getting to the leader at the eighth post. DRASTIC, away slowly, finished fast when clear in the last eighth. HAPPY GO LUCKY quit badly after setting a fast pace to the stretch. ROAMER set a terrific pace and held on gamely when challenged. BORROW, after being under restraint for three-quarters, finished gamely under punishment. UMATILLA closed up steadily and finised fast. ADELINE PATRICIA quit badly after going a half mile. ADELE ran well. Scratched Caroline, 103.
