WELL-KNOWN TURF CHARACTER DEAD. Covington, Ky., July 19. Charles Bollinger, well-known in turf circles for over thirty years, died here yesterday of heart disease. For many years Mr. Bollinger was financially interested in the Churchill Downs and Latonia tracks. He was one of the organizers of the old Oakley track. When poolroom hotting was in its heyday Bollinger conducted sporting clubs here, at Louisville, Hot Springs and Saratoga. . At one time he owned a pretentious string of horses, which he raced in the east and west. Mr. Bollinger was graduated from the Louisville College of Pharmacy and followed the profession for several years before becoming interested iu racing. The funeral will be held here Friday afternoon.
