THREE MEETINGS AT MONTREAL NEXT WEEK. Kempton Park, Mount Royal and .Maisonneuw-Sevon Day Meetings to Open Next Tuesday. Montreal, Que., July 19. There will be three running race meetings here next week unless the provincial revenue department refuses to grant the licenses applied for by the London Jockey Club, Montreal Driving Club and Kempton Course Breeders Association. These three have all made plans to open seven day meetings next Tuesday, July 24. Whether Maisonneuvo would get another license is still problematical. It is reported that the London Club would he granted a license, as would Kempton Park. If this turns out to be correct, Montreal racing fans will have their choice of two places of entertainment during the closing week of July, immediately following the Delorimier meeting, which winds up next Monday. Manager Billy Murray of the Maisonneuve track, has announced that he will run a meeting from July 24 to July 31 inclusive. The officials for the meeting will be announced at a later date. The second race meeting to be held at Mount Royal track, under the auspices of the London Jockey Club, will come as a benefit to some of the patriotic organizations. It has been decided by the track management that fifty per cent of the gate receipts will be handed over to local organizations, the bulk of it going- to the Bed Cross fund as the clubs donation in aid of the good cause. The management have also secured the services of John Demonjoz. the aviator, to give exhibitions, which will make the weeks sport attractive to other than patrons of racing. The plant has had a thorough overhauling since the meeting there nearly a month ago and looks at its best. "The track is faster now than at any time since it was first built two years ago, so that with the attractive program book for the meeting, therb is a practical assurance of good racing.
