CURRENT NOTES OF THE TURF. Jockey D. Wishard has received notification of his being called to the colors, in the first draft. Jockey M. Mountain was suspended Friday by the stewards at Mount Royal Park for rough riding. Harry Giddings, Jr.. saddled two winners at Thornchffe Park Friday in Armine and Captain B. Botli were ridden by jockey J. Bell. Al Dobson reports that he has promises of 100 horses from Montreal and a like number from -Chorncliffe Park for the Cheyenne meeting in August. The four-year-old colt Murphy, which W. C. Capps purchased from J. W. Hedrick, beat the best band of sprinters at Thorncliffe Park Friday. It was the colts first start since he raced at Havana, Cuba, last winter. . Jv"Kfithls recent purchase, the stallion Atheling, by Desmond Wood Daisy, was amoug the consignment of horses arriving in this country last week from EHgland.
