CURRENT NOTES OF THE TURF. Eugene Leigh has shipped the yearlings he purchased at the Saratoga sales last week to Graves-end where they will be broken and trained. Jockey Denny suffered serious injuries when he was thrown to the track as Margaret G. and John-sou collided in a race at the Blue Grass Fair last Friday. Trainer Hirsch and stable boys of the G. W. Loft Stable, have contributed 0 to the fund to buy smokes for Uncle Sams boys in France. C. J. FItz Gerald gave to the same fund. The retirement of Frank Nolan of the Beverwyck Stable will, if it should prove permanent, be a serious blow to the turf, of which he has been a staunch supporter, a buyer of good horses at good prices and a through and through sportsman. His sale of "horses -in training, which is" announced for August 23 by the Fasig-Tipton Company,, promises to-be ao event of no little importance,. 1
