The French-bred yearlings from the Haras.de Fresnay Stud of Normandy, France, the property of Clarence H. Mackay, were offered among others for sale Saturday night in the sales ring by the Fasig-Tipton Company. Thq majority were by Fitz Herbert and Meddler, and one was offered by Macdonald II., which incidentally brought the highest price of the evening, going to J. 0. Keene for ,500. - The colt is a son of Melody, by Meddler, a stake winner in England. Fourteen in number were sold and -all brought good prices, the total being 5,750, an average of ,125 per head. In addition some American-bred yearlings, the property of S. C. and L..A. Lyne, Piatt and Carr and other owners were sold, the highest price of this band being paid for a son of Han-bridge Oriental Queen, the bidder being R.
