CURRENT NOTES OF THE TURF. S. L. Parsons three-year-old filly, Koh-i-Noor, which was injured in the Kentucky Oaks in the spring, has wholly recovered and may be raced in the near future. H. E. Leigh, who bought the bay colt by Braxted Mouche Bleue at the sale of the Drake yearlings, has resold the colt to John E. Madden ut a handsome profit. President Woodrow Wilson has a fine saddle horse, a son of Octagon, sire of Beldame, which was presented to the Breeding Bureau of New York by August Belmont and which died recently in Virginia, where he had been stationed. Lucas B. Combs sold the chestnut colt, by The Manager Caution, by Planudcs, which he paid 1917.sh00 for at Thomas C. McDowells sale of yearlings, back to Mr. McDowell at advance enough to pay for one of his other yearling purchases at Saratoga, therby making a clear profit of one yearling. Rose Tree II., dam of Roamer in foal to Vulcain, was purchased by W. O. Parmer at tho dispersal sale of James B. Haggin in October, 1915, for ,500. The Rose Tree II. yearling brought 0,000 at Saratoga. Another mare, La Venganza, in foal to Ballot, was purchased at the Haggin dispersal by John W. Schorr for ,100. This yearling brought ,600 at Saratoga.
