DONATE TITLE TO OLD STAKES. Coney Island Jockey .Club Turns Over to Jockey Club All Interest in Famous Old Races. New York, August 21.. Schuyler L. Parsons, chairman of the Board of Directors of the Coney Island Jockey Cilib at the last meeting of the Jockey- Club, tendered all right, title and interest that the Coney Island Jockey Club possessed in the following "stakes to be held or transferred to other parties as tlie Jockey Club deemed best: Coney-Island Handicap, Sheepshead Bay Handicap. Long Island Handicap, Commonwealth Stakes, Fall Handicap, Ocean Stakes. Omnium Stakes, Twin City Handicap, Russet Stakes, Equality Stakes. Advance Stakes, Century Stakes, Annual Champion Stakes, Spindrift Stakes, Flying Stakes, Tidal Stakes, Mermaid Stakes, Swift Stakes, Dolphin Stakes, Reapers Stakes. September Stakes, Great Eastern Stakes. Flight- Stakes. Double Event. Foam Stakes, Surf Stakes, Great Trial Stakes, Zephyr Stakes, Vernal Stakes. Spring Stakes. Autumn, Maiden Stakes, Partridge Stakes, Great Filly Stakes, Dash Stakes. Flatbush Stakes, Sapphire Stakes, -Autumn Stakes, Belles Stakes, Waldorf Stakes.-and Thistle Stakes. After August Belmont, chairman of the Jockey Club, had made a statement urging the necessity of preserving the old stakes, the gift of the Coney Island Jockey Club was accepted and a resolution endorsing the spirit in which the donation was made, was adopted.
