Won handily; second and third driving. RUCK SHOT gradually improved his position under hard pressure and. taking the lead in the last eighth, won going away. JOSEFINA ZARATE displayed speed in pacemaking in the early running and held on gamely in the final drive. FLAKE saved ground on all turns and finished gamely, but tiring. MEDITATION made a game effort after, entering the homestretch, but tired. PLAUDITO could never improve his -position. IMPERATOR moved up with a rush while rounding the last turn, but tired in the last eighth. TUMBLE IN raced next to the rail in the early running, came around the leader in the last eighth and, taking the lead with a rush, won with speed in reserve. GARONNE ran well, responded gamely when put under punishment and outstayed ROYAL HEART. The latter began slowly and raced wide, hut closed a big gap. CONFISCATION showed the most speed for the first five-eighths and tired. RUTHIE M. was in tight quarters in the homestretch. STARWORT cut across in front in the first eighth and showed speed, but tired. POACHER could never secure a clear course. BUTCHER ItOY almost fell on the turn out of the backstretch and was pulled up. Won easily; second and third driving. RICKETY, after being under stout restraint in the early running, passed MIDWAY when entering the homestretch and won eased up through the last sixteenth. MIDWAY raced STARGAZER into defeat and held on gamely under punishment through the last quarter. TICKET was outpaced for three-quarters, but saved much ground on all turns and easily outstayed STARGAZER. The latter set a fast early pace, but tired badly after going one mile and was eased up. WISE MAN moved up steadily while rounding the last turn on the outside of the leaders and took the lead in the last eighth, but tired in the closing strides. POLROMA responded gamely to punishment, closed a big gap rapidly aud finished gamely. HARRY SHAW was a forward contender in the early running, but tired in the stretch. KINNEY set a fast pace, but was overweighted and tired in the last eighth. STARLIKE gained on the leaders in the last quarter. The winner, entered for ,500, was bid up to ,805 and bought in. MEMORIES II. met witli interference in the first half and closed up gamely when clear in the homestretch. AZALEA was cut off at the eighth post and forced to pull up. Scratched Wee Louise, 109.
