LIVE TURF G0SS0P FROM SARATOGA. P.y Ed Cole. Saratoga. N. Y., August. 28. John C. Itoberts, owner of the St. liouis Star, has been a visitor for the past week. Mr. Itoberts is a thoroughbred enthusiast, believing in racing under conditions such as eist at Saratoga. He will remain until the close of the local season. Phil Chinn will move with twelve horses to Belmont Park, as soon as he can get cars to make the shipment. Rapid Firer, winner of the first race today, is the first foal of Cafe-au-Lait, the well-bred mare belonging to Clarence Mackay, and in his French stud. Cafe-au-Lait is by Meddler Gun Fire and the showing of Rapid Firer so far, indicates she will be a rather useful broodmare.
