AVon easily; second and third driring. RAPID FIRER secured a clear course on the last turn and, coming fast through the stretch, took the lead at his riders leisure and won casing up. GOLDEN" GLOW was in close quarters for the first half mile and forced extremely wide on the stretch turn, but finished fast when clear and outstayed GOLDING in the final drive. GOLDING. under hard pressure, showed the most speed in the early run-iiing.but tired biidly in the: last eighth. AVOODTHRUSH ran well and had no mishaps. Q pT "I r p SECOND RACE 1 Mile. SILAER SANDALS, after being saved in close pursuit of the leaders, was forced to race on the outside, but responded gamely to punishment and outstayed PASSING FANCY at the end. PASSING FANCY showed a good order of speed and raced MOTHER MACHREE into defeat and held on gamely When challenged. MOTHER MACHREE fan well on her own courage, but tired after setting the early pace. MATINEE IDOL raced next to the rail throughout and mored up rapidly at the eighth post, but was crowded against the inner rail and forced back, then held on gamely and outstayed JACK HARE JR. at the end. A claim of foul was lodged by Butwell. but disallowed. JACK HARE JR. was a forwslrd contender and. finishing fast through the homestretch under punishment, was gaining in the closing strides. KASHMIR, shuttled back at the start, met with repeated interference, but fame around on the outside in the homestretch and finished fastest of the leaders. TRACKSEND, away forwardly, had si rough race and tired in the last eighth. THE SPINNER displayed speed in the early running. DEBADOU was away slowly.
