FIRST DISQUALIFICATION AT CHEYENNE Pit Set Back Thirst Runs a Sensational Race-May Bock Claimed. Cheyenne, Wyo., August 29. The first disqualification of the present meeting took place in the second race when the stewards disqualified Pit for fouling Minnie F. a hundred yards from the finish. Minnie F. and Toastmaster and Pit all moved up on equal terms when a sixteenth from home, but Toastmaster having the rail position, with Minnie F. in the middle. C. OMahoney brought Pit up on the outside and piled Pit over on Minnie F., forcing her to pull up abruptly when she was running fast and stood a grand chance to win. Thirst ran another sensational race in the fourth, the feature of the afternoon. She had a bad habit of beginning sideways and leaving the barrier last was far back when jockey Bloom brought her extremely wide on the stretch turn, but she was beaten by only a short margin at the finish. D. Aorell claimed May Bock out of the second race from R. II. Good for 00.
