JOCKEY McDERMOTT INJURED IN FALL Jockey Willie McDermott, who is riding at the Timouium track, was unconscious for over an hour as the result of a fall on Friday. McDermott was riding Firball, which fell at the lower turn and Piquette, ridden by jockey G. Preece, fell over the prostrate animal. McDermott was taken to the University Hospital at Baltimore where it was found he had sustained a fractured rib. Jockey Preece escaped injury.
