HUMMA began fast and. showing the most, spoed from the start, held sway all the way, winning eased up. LADY EILEEN was taken back in the first quarter and saved, then came with a rush in the stretch. HOPE tired in the last eighth after being prominent in closest pursuit from the start. ORIENTAL GIRL showed speed, but dropped back in the stretch. The others were never prominent. LADY LONDON raced in closest pursuit from the start and gamely stood a hard drive through the ! last eighth to outstay MICO GIRL. The latter showed speed, finished fast and would have won at a longer distance. LEWIS OPPER finished gamely through the stretch.. ZIN DEL, as usual, quit badly after setting the pace to the stretch. EMDEN, showing sudden improvement over his last race, was away fast, showed high speed and increased his advantage with every stride to win as his rider pleased. ARCH PLOTTER raced in closest pursuit from the start, but was tiring at. the end. PILSEN raced gamely, but also tired in the stretch. BROOM SWEEP was racing gamely at the end and closed a big gap from a poor leginning. FREEMAN quit in the stretch. PRINCE HERMIS was badly outpaced after going the first quarter. INDOLENCE, probably best, was taken too far hack earlv and suffered from interference, but finished with a rush and was going fastest at the end. MARIAN AO ran a good race and finished gamely.
