HOLD RED CROSS MEETING TODAY, Breeders and Turfmen In Conference to Plan Systematic Assistance From Racing. LexingtoiiT Ky., December 21. "A. conference out of which it is expected owners of race track3 ami those interested in the breeding and racing of thoroughbred horses in the United States will formulate a plan of systematic assistance for the American Bed Cross during the remaining period of the war, will be held in the Phoenix Hotel here tomorrow afternoon. Among those who have stated they will be present are Thomas II. Talbot, vice-chairman of the State Racing Commission; Charles F. Grainger, member of the State Racing Commission and president of the New Louisville Jockey Club; Judge Allie W. Young, member of the State Racing Commission; Matt J. Winn, general manager of the New Louisville Jockey Club; John Hachmeister, general manager of the Latonia and Douglas Park Jockey Clubs; Catesby Woodford, vice-president of the Kentucky Association; It. L. Baker, chairman of the Kentucky Association executive committee; G. I. Wilson, secretary of the Kentucky Association; Charles II. Berryman, president; Arthur B. Hancock, vice-president; Milton Young. Hal Price Headley, J. O. Keene. T. C. McDowell, T. P. Hayes. John S. Barbee and Fred A. Forsythe. directors of the Thoroughbred Horse Association; John E. Madden, the most extensive breeder of thoroughbred horses in the country; A. McL. Earlocker, racing secretary of . the Saratoga Racing Association; Judge Charles F. Price and Cant. T. J. Clay, racing officials; starter Harry Morrissey and many others who rank as breeders or owners of horses. There will be a meeting of the directors of the Thoroughbred Horse Association at 11 oclock tomorrow morning, at which the attitude of that organization in reference to the Red Cross will be formulated. .t
