KENTUCKY VISIT QUITE SUCCESSFUL Racing Secretary HcL. Earlocker Reports Breeders Respond liberally with Futurity Entries. New York. December 30. Racing Secretary A. McL. Earlocker was back at his. office yesterday and reported that the "Westchester Kacing Association was receiving entries from the breeders for .the Futurity of 1920 in greater measure than even had been hoped for. Mr. Karlocker recently was in Kentucky doing a bit of missionary worg among the breeders to stimulate entries for this big two-year-oh! event and reported much success. "It was a great trip," reported Earlocker, "but I certainly would have preferred some other season of the year. It was colder at Lexington than I have seen it in New York this winter and the snow was s deep that it was difficult to get over the pikes. They didnt seem to mind the bad weather out on the farms, however, and the horses, young and old, all looked fine and healthy." While in Lexington Earlocker yisited August Bel-monts Nursery Stud and saw twenty-two fine-looking weanlings of the usual high type characteristic of the noted breeding establishment of the chairman of the Jockey Club.
