ORESTES moved up steadily after entering the homestretch, but tired after taking the lead and just lasted long enough to win. FICKLE FANCY showed the most early speed and finished gamely. DR. NICKELL gained steadily and, finishing fast next to the inside rail, would have won in a few more strides. HARLOCK tired badly and was eased up.
