1 1 1 , 1 MEETING OF JOCKEY CLUB STEWARDS Application of W. R. Mizell for Trainers License Denied and Future Entries of Horses Refused. New York. Aoril 3. — At a meeting of the stewards of the Jockey Club, held at the office of the club today, there were present Major August Belmont. F. K. Sturgis. F. H. Hitchcock and Andrew Milier. The uplsuutment of Edward Trilio as starter at Howie was confirmed. The application of J. Class for 11 jockey license was referred to the License Committee. W. R. Mizell appeared before the stewards of the Jockey dub. On motion, duly seconded. W. R. Mizells application for a trainers license was dc- nied and the secretary was instructed to write all associations racing under the jurisdiction of th-Jockey Club requesting that all further entries of W. R. Mizell be refused for practices detrimental to the turf. Many jockeys and trainers licens"-. were granted as recommended by the License Com- mittee. The applications of John L. Coyle. Charles Whan-sen. Arthur Harrison and G. C. Milton for trainers" licenses were denied, as were the applications of Frank Keogh. W. P. Mclntyre and Charles Martin for jot-key licenses.
