CURRENT NOTES OF THE TURF O. C. Rasch has a small but select stable* of thoroughbreds training at Gravesend. Ed Arlingtons good filly Koh-i-Noor is reported to be well advanced iu her training at Gravesend. Frank Weir is counting on his good horse Hen-ilrie to lie an important factor in the handicap division this year. Hendrie has improved wonderfully diirng the winter and is taking his early training iu a satisfactory manner. Robert E. Diiudon. the well-known Kentucky turf writer, who is now in the United States army. writes from Camp Zachary. near Louisville, Ky., that the soldiers stationed at that point are much interested in the training operations at Churchill Downs and Douglas Park, especially so in the candidates for the Kentucky Derby. W. R. Coes string of cross-country racers, which J. Carroll is training at Gravesend. is attracting more than ordinary attention among devotees of the steepleehasing snort, who think that Town Hall, winner of both the Harbor Hill and Elkridge Steeplechases. Gold Bond. Oration. Yerraak and Pack Mount form a formidable band of jumpers. •
