JAMAICA STAKES TO CLOSE FOR ENTRIES The Metropolitan Jockey Clubs generous provision of stake races for its meetings of next May and June at Jamaica close for entries at midnight of this dav. They are all on the guaranteed value system, but. since four of them are of ,000 each and none of less value than ,000. it is obvious that they have been devised on a liberal scale and are all well worth winning. If any laggard owner has overlooked making nominations to them the omission should be remedied at once. The four old-time handicaps— the Excelsior. Kings County, Long Beach and Paiimonok — have all had their values materiallv increased and should furnish some excellent and interesting racing when their day of decision arrive. The Youthful Stakes has been raised in value to the extent of ,000 more than last year, making it the clubs principal race for two -year -olds. Last year it was won by Lncullite.
